17th May, 2019

On 9th May 2019, DAYLA & James Pettit well and truly excelled at the Annual BUDWEISER WEP Awards held at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield. WEP stands for Wholesale Excellence Programme and is a global initiative that ABI extends across every country with this being the 10th year since it was started here in the UK.

The Awards in the evening were hosted by Comedian and I’m a Celebrity contestant, Joel Dommett, preceded by a full afternoon business session and Sir Geoff Hurst in attendance to round off the brands update from ABI. For the second year running, we won BOTH the Top 2 Awards, achieving GOLD Accreditation and BEST of THE BEST. We also received a special trophy to mark our 100 years because as you may well know it is 100 years since our MD’s Grandfather bought the business when he signed a partnership with a Mr. Morris on 17th May 1919, eventually buying him out in total later that year.

In recognition of winning this years top prizes and indeed winning trophies every year since its inception, we would like to thank literally everyone across the entire Company (staff, customers, friends) for their invaluable contribution in making us not only win but to continue winning  such great accolades. It was especially touching to hear, upon receiving the top award that we really are a pleasure to do business with and we even received a special 100th Anniversary cake as well as a special video message from Jason Warner who was President of ABI UK and Ireland up until last year and now heads up the whole of Northern Europe that includes the UK.

We would also like to congratulate Sean McAndrew who was short listed in the Top 3 for Account Manager of the Year, competing alongside some big names from the world of drinks wholesaling.

AND of course we would like to extend a BIG thank you to Ian Williams and Andy Lennon from ABI Budweiser for their great support, account management and all round encouragement to make our business partnership really work well…..thanks guys.

Thank you one and all, a hugely proud moment for Dayla & James Pettit.
