A celebrity team from The Lords Taverners took on the Tring Park Chairman`s X1 in an exciting match that saw the Taverners narrowly winning in the very last over of the day. Their Captain, Chris Tarrant was joined as Umpires by former England Captains, Mike Gatting and the last double international that England had, M.J.K.Smith who played both Cricket and Rugby Union for his Country.
It really was a great day with many spectators, club members and invited guests who enjoyed an excellent lunch before watching a thrilling afternoon`s cricket….what could be better ??
